iPhone X Aftermarket Screen
Differences between OEM, Aftermarket OLED & LCD
June 06th,2018
After the appearance of iPhone X aftermarket LCD screen in market, here finally comes iPhone X aftermarket OLED screen. BIZBEE has compared the difference between iPhone X original and aftermarket LCD screen before, the aftermarket LCD screen is not mature. Here we carried out a lot of tests for new versions of iPhone X screens.

1.Color Difference

Comparing the display color of the screens, there is no obvious difference among fully original, OEM and aftermarket OLED in main interface color. But in pure color comparison, the color of aftermarket LCD is distorted.

2.Structure Inspection

A. Measure the thickness of the four screens after install, we can find that fully original is the thinnest, the second one is OEM. Aftermarket LCD is thicker than aftermarket OLED.

B. Measure the weight of the three screens, OEM is 35.9g, aftermarket OLED is 37.5g, while aftermarket LCD is 44.7g.

C. The driver IC on aftermarket OLED and OEM get high similarity, but due to different screen technology, aftermarket LCD is different from others.

3.Function Tests

A. In general, the 3D touch function on OEM, aftermarket OLED and aftermarket LCD are normal, yet abnormal with only one finger when put the phone on desk.

B. Dragging the App icon and slide on the screen to test the touch function, OEM and aftermarket OLED are similar, while aftermarket LCD sometimes is stuck or has ghost touch.

After a series of test, the iPhone X OEM and aftermarket OLED have passed our strict tests and they are no display and function problems, so it’s time to turn to more affordable iPhone X repair screens.
