The highly anticipated Apple WWDC-Worldwide Developers Conference officially started on Monday 6 June 2022.  

The new MacBook Air, the new 13-inch MacBook Pro, and iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS Ventura and watchOS 9 were unveiled at the conference.  

iOS 16  

The first is the new generation of iOS 16, which brings new smart, sharing and communication technologies.  

iOS 16 brings the biggest update ever to the lock screen. While retaining the iPhone style, it supports the style of custom fonts and can display various widgets.  

Message notifications will scroll at the bottom of the lock screen, or you can choose to hide them directly. The new focus mode is also integrated with the lock screen, bringing a more convenient switching experience.  

The message APP can edit or withdraw the message just sent; for messages that cannot be replied in time, it can be marked as unread; it also supports simulcast sharing.  

The new live text function can copy, translate, query, share and other operations in any pause video screen containing text.  

It also brings new "medication" function, new family app, new dictation function and other upgrades.  

watchOS 9  

It comes with the new Siri UI and new banner notifications.  

There are new metropolitan dial, and the dial digital font can be adjusted freely; the happy hour dial, co-branded artist Joi Fulton; the astronomical dial, making full use of the screen; and the new moon phase dial.  

New fitness training experience.  

By rotating the digital crown, you can see a series of training indicators from the view, such as the Activity Ring, Heart Rate Zone, Power and Altitude.  

Through instant feedback, you can know whether the goal can be achieved at the current pace, and you can also refer to the dynamic pace. Choose your favorite outdoor running or outdoor cycling route to race against your last or best time.  

Swimming, cycling and running can be switched automatically. The newly added floating board stroke can be automatically detected during swimming training in the pool.  

In terms of health, the Medication app can record the user's taking of medicines, vitamins and nutritional supplements. You can view the time spent in various stages of REM sleep, core sleep, and deep sleep. The duration of the user's atrial fibrillation can also be tracked through the atrial fibrillation history.  

M2 Chip  

The new M2 chip was officially unveiled.  

Based on the second-generation 5nm process technology, it is equipped with more than 20 billion transistors, which is 25% more than the M1; 16-core neural network engine can perform up to 15.8 trillion operations per second; high-performance unified memory up to 24GB, also It has 100GB/s memory bandwidth, which is 50% higher than M1.  

M2 integrates a new generation of 8-core CPU, which is up to 18% faster than M1; up to 10 graphics processor cores, up to 35% faster than M1.  

MacBook Air  

The new MacBook Air is redesigned based on the M2 chip. The all-aluminum metal unibody is available in four colors: midnight, space gray, silver, and starlight.  

Equipped with a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina screen, supporting 1 billion colors, P3 wide color gamut, original color display technology, following the "notch" design, and price starts at $1,199.  

MacBook Pro 13″  

Equipped with M2 chip, P3 wide color gamut retina display, and 20 hours of battery life; the new MacBook Pro 13″retains the touch bar, supports touch ID, provides silver and space gray color options, starting at $1,299.  

macOS Ventura  

A new front-end scheduling feature automatically organizes all open apps and windows on a Mac into a single view. It brings more regular switching and display methods.  

Switch between apps and windows with one tap; tap anywhere on the desktop to quickly return to a file or folder; and set up different app groups based on tasks or projects.  

The focus function can now directly find images in the app such as photos, memos, and Finder; with the live text function, you can also search for images based on the text in the picture.  

Users can also use focused search to quickly perform actions, such as setting an alarm, turning on focus mode, and more.  

Added the ability to share tab groups, share tabs and bookmarks, or send messages directly from the Safari browser. The other person can also add their tabs.  

At the same time, as long as the iPhone is close to the Mac, the input source will automatically switch to the iPhone, and the process is wireless. With the iPhone's ultra-wide camera, the Mac can center people.  

iPadOS 16  

It provides iPad Weather APP, full screen browsing on iPad, and full map mode.  

It can display weather details such as air quality and local forecasts, as well as hourly weather forecasts for the next 10 days, and minute-level precipitation intensity forecasts for the next hour.  

In the messaging app, share notes, presentations, reminders, Safari browser tab groups and other content for instant collaboration. See the latest progress of shared projects in a conversation without switching apps.  

At the same time, Apple will also bring a new collaborative app. You can share files, or insert web links, documents, video and audio. Send out a link to share a collaboration invitation and collaborate instantly.  

iPadOS 16 also brings a redesigned Game Center panel. Find out what games your friends are playing, and view their records.  

The multitasking process is newly upgraded, the size of the window can be flexibly adjusted as needed, and multiple windows can be stacked in the same view.
